Nurturing A Lifelong Love Of Learning

LOCKDOWN LEARNING:

The work on each class page  will be available in the event of a whole bubble closure or Lockdown. This type of closure will only happen if a positive case within the bubble has occurred or if Public Health England/Government have advised schools to close to most pupils. In this event, school will inform you immediately. Should your child develop a high temperature, persistent dry cough or a loss of taste or smell, you should arrange a Covid test for your child immediately by using the link here: https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/antigen/name or by calling 119. You need to inform school of any positive results for anyone in the family. Siblings in other bubbles will not usually be affected, unless they show symptoms.

Home learning can be tricky if you do not have enough devices for the children to use. Paper packs are being developed to support those pupils without regular internet access. Please contact the school on enquiry@sundridge.bham.sch.uk if you wish to register interest in paper packs. These will not be dependent upon internet, but pupils will not see the teaching videos if they rely solely on paper packs.

Home Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The current Covid-19 situation is changing all of the time. At Sundridge, we want to ensure a good continuity of education in the event that a family has to self isolate, or a whole bubble needs to close following a positive case.

In order to support families in such an event, the school will provide home learning links on this page for each year group.  There will not be any work on here unless a bubble is closed or in the event of a National or Local Lockdown.

The work we provide will use teaching videos and powerpoints (From The Oak Academy, White Rose Maths and BBC) as well as other website links to You Tube, Literacy Shed or NCETM. Pupils will be able to submit work through email if they wish. If you need help with accessing work, please let us know.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INDIVIDUALS SELF ISOLATING: If your child is required to self isolate at home, but their class bubble remains open, teachers will automatically send you home learning materials by the 3rd day of isolation. There will be full instructions, video links and website links to support your child. These materials will mirror the work that the class are continuing in school. This means that your child will be able to come back with confidence that they haven't become further behind. You will be provided with an email to enable you to contact your child's teacher.
